London Olympic Park and Financial District
Today we got a guided tour of the 2012 London Olympic Park. Not only was this a highly successful Olympic Games, but it was also a sustainable urban design exercise.
After lunch at the Westland Mall, another successful retail development built for the Olympic Games, we took the underground to Canary Warf.
Canary Warf got its name from being the primary location for citrus ships to unload their goods. These citrus boats would be arriving from none other than the Canary Islands.
Selma gave us a personalized guided tour through the financial district.
We finished our day on another roof garden with our first, of likely many over the next 7 weeks, full group shot.
